It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes Dawson at her home in York Point, Cornwall, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Following a short illness, Agnes passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, at age 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Barry Dawson. Agnes was born in O’Leary on Feb. 12, 1946, daughter of the late Ernest Phillips and Walter & Marion Darrach. Caring sister to the late Gary (Joyce) Phillips, Montreal; Darlene Dennis, Cornwall; Dale (Rena) Phillips, Cornwall. Loving mother to Jeffery Getson, Summerside; Christine Getson, Cornwall; Joline (Andrew) St. John, Cornwall; Roberta "Bobbie" (Matthew) Dawson, Canberra, Australia; Robert Barry Junior (Cynthia) Dawson, Kelowna, BC and fond step-mother to Kim (Keir) Clark, Fredericton; the late Scott (Rosalie) Dawson, Hampton and Tracey (Tonny) Nendarto, Charlottetown. Proud grandmother to Kyle, Alyssa, and Seth Getson; Daniel Dawson; Jackson & Dawson St. John and Noah Webbie. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud. Due to COVID restrictions a private funeral service ( invitation only) will be held for Agnes at West River United Church,Tuesday at 3:30 p,.m. with a private interment to follow at Crapaud People's Cemetery.  Celebration of life will be held at a later date and online condolences can be made at Dawson Funeral Home, In lieu of flowers, donations to Homecare/Palliative Program or charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
